ThermaCare Knee Wraps contain natural ingredients (iron, charcoal, table salt and water) that heat up when exposed to oxygen in the air. When you open the ThermaCare pouch, the wrap will begin to warm immediately and will reach its therapeutic temperature within approximately 30 minutes. Portable, wearable ThermaCare Knee Wraps provide therapeutic heat for your knee. When you're on the move, doing chores or just relaxing, ThermaCare can be used up to 8 hours a day for 7 days in a row. Wear ThermaCare at night and wake up feeling relaxed (use first during the day per label instructions). Begin treatment with ThermaCare at the first signs of muscle pain. Early heat therapy can keep the pain from interfering with your life. Do not wear more than 8 hours in any 24 hour period. Directions:
To begin heat therapy with knee wraps, follow these easy steps. When you're ready to begin treatment, open the airtight pouch to activate the heat discs.
Remove the peel paper from the adhesive tabs.
Place the darker side of the heat discs over the pain area.
Press the adhesive tabs onto your skin.
Pull the straps around your leg and affix snuggly to the wrap.
Do not place heat cell over back of knee.
Note: Adhesive will stick better if skin is free of oils or lotions. Removing the Knee Wrap from your skin is comparable to removing an adhesive bandage. Peel it slowly from your skin. If the adhesive feels too difficult to remove without causing skin irritation, try using mineral oil or baby oil on a cotton ball or swab to help loosen the attachment. Continue dabbing the oil under the edge where the product is attached and gently work the adhesive away from the skin. If you use oil to remove the product, you will not be able to reattach it.
Warnings:
Keep out of reach of children and pets. To reduce the risk of irritation, avoid wearing ThermaCare for more than 8 hours a day or for more than 7 days in a row. Do not use ThermaCare with medicated lotions, creams or ointments, or on skin that is broken or damaged. You should also not use ThermaCare on areas of bruising or swelling that have occurred within 48 hours or on areas of the body where heat cannot be felt. As with any heat product ThermaCare has the potential to cause skin irritation or burns. Do not place heat cells on the back of your knee, as this may increase your risk of burns. People unable to remove the product, including children, should not use ThermaCare. Consult your doctor before using ThermaCare if you have diabetes, poor circulation, rheumatoid arthritis or are pregnant.
